What is a SUNSHINE BLOGGER award

More than anything else the Sunshine Blogger is about recognizing the community of fellow bloggers for their creativity, positivity and inspiration. There is no better way to do this than by the Sunshine Blogger Award to share amongst fellow bloggers!

I am delighted to be nominated as I’ve seen several over the months and this is my first nomination.  I was lucky enough to be nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by the very lovely Bryony – Perfectly Imperfect Mama

This is my first time I’ve done the Sunshine Award post so hopefully I’ve done it right!

1. What is something that is really popular now, but in 5 years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by?

painting their homes in various shades of grey.  I don’t like it, I won’t do it… I won’t ( #hides50shadescolourchart)

2. If animals could talk, which would be the rudest?

hahaha, sheep!!! I stare out at fields of sheep every day.  They stand there in the peeing rain, eating grass, day after day – i bet if they could talk they’d have a few very blue words to say about that!

3. If you could only watch one programme/tv series for the rest of your life what would it be?

omg the thought of watching anything over and over again would drive me insane!  I guess if I had to watch something for my whole life i might make it something beautiful like Blue Planet

4. What is the best bit of blogging advice you’ve got?

As I’ve as yet to manage getting a freebie or payment for anything I write I would say the best advice is to write from the heart and soul about what you truly believe.  I always write about what pops into my head at the time – sometimes i even sit down to write one thing and something completely different pops out.  It might not make me money but it sure as hell makes me happy and helps keep me sane(ish)

5. What’s your favourite animal?

I have two – alpacha and seahorse

6. What is the weirdest thing you have seen in someone else’s home?

I tend to take weird as ordinary in my world!  Life generally is odd.  However, one place I went had a full sized dalek in the entrance hall.  I suppose thats not overly normally.  What disturbed me more was going into one of our guest rooms to tidy up only to be contronted by about 40 images of Jesus perched on every surface all facing the bed.  I’m an atheist, guests were honeymooners, I was only remaking the bed and Jebus was putting me off!!!!

7. What mythical creature would improve the world most if it existed?

Fairy Godmother – does that count?  Probably not.  How about dragons – well I do live in Wales and they would be great for tourism 😉

8.Do you have any hobbies, if so, what are they?

My hobbies and my life entwine – I paint and make stained glass items – I love doing both.  I also love cooking and gardening.  If I had more time I would love to do more dancing, particularly would love to belly dance- my friend is a teacher but I find it so hard to find time to take it up enough to improve at it

9.Toilet paper, over or under?

I don’t care, in my opinion life’s too short to worry about it BUT i always do it as over because hubby minds!

10. What are some small things that make your day better?

Smiles – always welcome, i love receiving them and love to smile at people

Unexpected/unsolicited compliments – i often will tell a stranger they have nice shoes , or they have lovely hair etc etc

Having a door helpd open for you

A stranger asking you for a hand eg: will you reach something off a shelf for them

A text or call from one of our grown up boys

Hubby just coming up and giving me a cuddle or a kiss

11. What is the most annoying question that people ask you?

“Have you lost weight?  You look really well for it .” – it embarrasses me.  it also makes me wonder how shit they thought I looked before!
